This project focuses on the twelve zodiacs and is influenced by cultural Chinese heritage and symbolism. The product is inspired by traditional Chinese paper-cutting skills, words, and ancient patterns. By combining all elements, it creates a comfortable, retro, and also fresh atmosphere. All details in the calendar are easy to read from people who speak different languages and are a handful to use in daily life.
This calendar is inspired by several design techniques and fundamental seasonal elements from Chinese culture. Each page presents one of twelve zodiac animals signs that introduce the meanings behind them. The calendar contains 12 monthly pages with Zodiac Animal Signs; illustrations inspired on Chinese Architecture Design and Seasonal Elements; festival dates in China and New Zealand; badge and packaging designs (shopping bags and package boxes).
