AN ARCHIVAL REPOSITORY CONTAINING A FILIPINO COMMUNAL HISTORY OF FAMILY, SACRIFICE AND MIGRATION.

5,466 & The Collection is a publication design project that explores the contribution and sacrifice of the Filipino migrant community within New Zealand and around the world.

The focus of my project was to create a repository that profiles the essence of my Filipino family's communal history and experience of migration. I explore common experiences of sacrifice and diaspora through a poetic narrative to document a global story, enabling connections with migrant audiences and their families. 5,024 brings together archival and composite materials to create an aesthetic archive, weaving my hybrid culture together to celebrate opportunities I can grasp in New Zealand, while not forgetting about my family back home in the Philippines.
