After working with children for serval years, I have worked with many children who experience anxiety, whether it arises by a particular event or even general anxiety with no specific cause, this experience is distressing and difficult not only for the child but the parents to watch their child go through. When a child is anxious, it is only natural that you want to protect them. However, if you protect them from everything that causes them anxiety, you can unintentionally worsen their anxiety. A more effective way to help children overcome anxiety is by teaching them the skills to manage anxiety when it arises.

The Big Feelings card pack is an excellent resource for teachers, parents and out of school care staff to use with their children or students in overwhelming situations to help them build resilience.
