Flatting for the first time in my life, I was hit with an inescapable situation of having to cook my own meals.
I was tight on money, I didn’t know how to cook, and doing my groceries was pointless as they were just a bunch of ‘ingredients’ because I didn’t know how to make meals with them.

As I began this project, I found that many people were sharing this same issue. Therefore, with the mission statement of ‘How might we encourage more people to eat at home, so they can save time, money and effort?’, I conducted research methods to depict the common painpoints in order to create the best solution that would fit the audience’s needs.

As a result, I created MealMe; an all-in-one meal preparation app. With ingredient and voice recognition, MealMe offers a highly automated cooking journey to save time and effort, and through utilising ingredients from home, users save money and is motivated to cook more as they are able to see exactly how much money they are saving by doing so.
