Oh Honey, is a coffee table publication that brings colour to any room while also educating the reader about honey and the production behind it. This project provides an informal education resource, creating awareness around the natural product of honey, and how pollination from bees is essential to a maintaining balanced eco-system. The lack of age-appropriate factual information regarding honey for young adults with environmental concerns allowed me to see a gap in the market for a publication of this nature.
Honey is a byproduct of bee pollination and pollination is the most essential process for human food production. Having a strong education around honey will help drive the emphasis and importance of bees in our society, naturally rising environmental concerns for the future. Understanding the impact that bees have on our everyday lives will enable us to be more prepared to take further steps for positive environmental changes.
This publication is a light-hearted take on this topic with colourful illustrations and witty copywriting. Allowing the reader to enjoy going through the different sections within the world of honey while, unpacking the little details and creating a deeper understanding of the world’s oldest natural resources.
