This body of work references Thomas Sauvin’s photo essay, 'Until Death Do Us Part'. The work contains images of the unexpected role cigarettes played in Chinese weddings during the 1980s following the ‘Reform and Opening-up’ policies.

It was during this time that Western clothing had a influence on Chinese wedding costumes, including that of my parents.

This collection embodies the Chinese wedding during the 1980s from the perspective of Generation Z.

Each garment combines a dialogue across time and space.
