A-1, an android who wakes up and finds herself in an apocalyptic world. She could only faintly remember her past after being turned off for a hundred years. With only a family photo as her lead, she makes it her goal to travel along the broken world to rediscover herself and her past.

My research question asks, ‘In what way can I convey a non-verbal blossoming bond between an android and a cat, in a post-apocalyptic narrative using hybrid animation in a short film. The project experimented with storytelling within the length of a short film and combined 2d and 3d techniques. My role in this project was animating Tulu, the cat-like creature, creating 3d models for the interior environments, music and video editing, and animating the 2d water effects.
