Collection/Recollection is a durational and participatory event that explores ideas around cinematic image capture through glass slumping/casting and the public urban lens—created for the public, with the public of Downtown Auckland to encourage collective thought around temporality within our transitional spaces.

I invite the public to join me in a series of mould-making, wet processes and glass slumping to create a cinematic curtain - made from impressions of the heritage facade - to hang within the public/private space of Imperial Lane; such curtain will be displayed and used to activate the threshold between a situated Imperial Lane and a fast-paced, transitional, cinematic Fort Lane.

Through this making process, I aim to gather the public to experience the behind-the-scenes of urban artwork while also connecting them to their own historical site and the small, missable details hidden in the wear and everyday tear of the facades of Fort Lane.
