Dark Femininity

This body of work, Embracing the Darkness, is a collection of clothing informed by the darker sides of self and interests. There is passion and fire from the darker, confident, and resilient side of ourselves, a dark femininity that brings on a sense of empowerment and control.

The study of Alexander McQueen’s work and of Victoriana fashion further inspired the work - historical silhouettes were refined into contemporary high-end dresses that can be worn as a statement and personal expression. A type of haunting beauty, dark femininity is expressed in the use of semi-sheer materials that allow the body to be covered and revealed at the same time.
