My project is about Alzheimer's disease, focusing on the patients and their family members as the main user group. Based on my research, I figured that a bigger impact had been caused towards the patients’ family members compared to themselves, especially in their daily life. This also means they might have to face the issue of losing their current occupations just to become full-time carers for Alzheimer’s patients to deal with their emotions, such as stressfulness and financial situation. The main idea of this project is about the principle of empathy and human centre design, seeking to combine the everyday object in life into some high-technology products. Besides that, I also believe that technology could make better and greater improvements towards any patient's life in terms of reducing their stress and anxiety. Therefore, now I’ll present Flomer. It represents an Alzheimer's assistant that could support the patient's family members by monitoring the patient's emotions detected and fall detections that could notify them through the mobile app.  It also attaches along with four GPS trackers that are designed in four leaf shapes. Moreover, it also assists the patients during the day by answering open questions.
