The concept for my final collection revolves around the intersectionality that is found within femininity. The collection is about women designing clothing, for women, by women. It is a form of protest towards societal standards created and upheld  by the patriarchy. Craftwork and knitwear were used as a medium of protest. Inspiration can be primarily linked to historical punk movements and feminist revolutions.

chose to construct aesthetics based on the 90’s anime, “Nana,” having found inspiration in the protagonist’s Vivienne Westwood pieces, dark punk clothing and metal jewellery in the show, which further compliment punk and feminist fashion themes.
