Through pleating, knitting and oversized jackets this practice reflects on 1950s-1960s American women’s tennis wear. This historical reference is combined with contemporary silhouettes and proportions inspired by Lacoste from their spring ready-to-wear 2021 and 2022 collections. This practice has also allowed me to explore masculine silhouettes and play around with scale and proportions. I have explored menswear clothing and applied it to tennis womenswear clothing, with knee length pleated skirts and skorts inspired by my historical references, that supplies comfort and trendy to be worn on the tennis court, also worn to be streetwear fashion. With these natural colourways and fabrics creates Luxe tennis wear.
