Combining elements of organic forms and childhood art experiments to create this collection of Organic Nostalgia.

This collection of clothing is inspired by childhood memories, abstract art and organic forms from sculpture and the natural environment.

I began by mentally revisiting my childhood memories of summer freedom, and simplicity of life, it was here that my endless courage for adventure and art experiments started. In addition to this, the colourful abstract geometric art of Sonia Delauney and Anna Cole inspired me to explore collage art experiments and patterns that later informed a unique printed pattern reminiscent of my former child self. The sculptures of Yasha Butler informed the oversized sculptural silhouettes of the garments in addition to method of curve cutting, a type of pattern cutting, on which piping was placed to emphasize the rounded organic curves. The resulting simple designs work to represent organic forms of nature and the freedom I had as a child.
