Procrastination in Progress

Bachelor of Design Publication Autoethnographic User-centred Well-being

From one creative to another

A practice-led design solution to an enquiry about the impact of procrastination on a designer's practice using an autoethnographic and user-centred approach.

When seeking inspiration, most often, we turn to digital platforms. In an attempt to change this notion, Procrastination in Progress explores and examines the concept of creating a tangible form of inspiration. Through gathered contextual knowledge and personal observation, evidence was discovered that visual cues and actionable activities could benefit the psychological impacts of procrastination on a designer's practice.

This publication contains selected and collated bodies of work from local and global practitioners that have inspired me during 2022—featuring a variety of art forms, ranging from photography, sculpture, architecture, product design and more. Procrastination in Progress celebrates all showcased practitioners and their creative outputs.

From one creative to another, I hope this publication can be a window of opportunity for inspiration and offer a creative reset to procrastinating designers like myself.
