Zijing Liu

This womenswear collection is inspired by the abstract expressionist artist Agnes Martin's works as told by my experimental fashion works.

Inspired by interviews with Agnes Martin, I tried to use my collection to reflect the connection and opposition between the inner world of female artists and the inherent order and rules of the world. I wanted to express the combination and contrast of order, regularity, and softness, flowing, floating, and irregularity in experimental ways using methods of pleating, draping, geometric pattern cutting and knit structures.
