A transforming dog kennel for transporting larger dogs to foster homes and rescue shelters.

This design is a transforming dog kennel for medium to large dogs. The kennel reduces to a quarter size, perfect for placing in an SUV or van. The dog is able to remain inside while the kennel transforms.

The intention for Transpawt is so Animal Rescue Shelters can provide a kennel to their foster carers until a home is found. The problem with pre-exisitng transport methods is that they do not accommodate fearful, larger dogs that are reluctant to walk on a leash or get in a vehicle, therefore, my concept provides a comforting solution.

Transpawt is practical and easy to operate while providing a positive appearance. It is manufactured in fibreglass, therefore, it is light, yet durable. The abstract windows provide sufficient light and a sense of privacy. The clean curves along the edges accommodate easy placement in car boots with arched ceilings.

Along with rescue organisations as Transpawt’s target user, the product can also be used for family dogs that travel often, hunting dogs transported to various locations who require a large kennel when not working, animals in transit, and animals in recovery.
