The Void Vacuum Arm gives Makers the freedom and versatility of a third arm that can be used to hold and manipulate parts, components or material while leaving their hands free to use tools, equipment, and skills to do whatever work required.

How can I improve the efficiency and working process/environment of prop and model making to allow for easy and fast handling of fine and complex parts without interrupting workflow? How can elements from commercial manufacturing and production be integrated or utilized to mimic their flow and efficiency? I choose to focus on the prop and model industry as it is a growing field in New Zealand with firms like Weta. I also have practical understanding and experience reproducing props and models from small contract jobs and personal projects.

The Void Vacuum Arm gives Makers the freedom and versatility of a third arm that can be used to hold and manipulate parts, components or material while leaving their hands free to use tools, equipment, and skills to do whatever work required.

The suction head allows work to be held without risk of marking or damage from the clamping head. With its three articulated joints using a custom leaver/ball system the Void allows for the work to be optimally positioned as the user requires. Arms can even be interchanged to allow for a variety of positional situations. The Void gives Makers a hand as they use theirs to imagine, design and create.
