With a focus on the act of seeing, this work invites viewers into an environment projected with moving images of an abstract, microscopic world. By enlarging what is normally invisible, the installation challenges perception and encourages audiences to reconsider how they engage with their surroundings. The microscopic, transformed to a monumental scale, becomes unfamiliar and otherworldly, evoking curiosity and wonder. The microscopic images were collected from a place close to home, developing my own personal connection to the act of seeing. At the centre is a tunnel-like structure, collaboratively built with my father, who helped construct the frame, and my mother, who sewed the fabric. This structure envelops viewer, transforming them from passive observer to active participant within a shifting visual field. Influenced by artists such as Olafur Eliasson, my practice explores sensory experince as a form of inquiry, connecting scientifcic observation with emotional response. The work becomes a visual and conceptual investigation into perception itself, transforming seeing into a deeply personal and reflective encounter.
