Connecting the 'AUT PUBLIC+'
Culturing Community Connectedness within the AUT public
This project explores the issues claimed by various interviews and accounts from students describe AUT culture as sterile, badly maintained, lacking student involvement and lacking information. This research also led to a retro-innovation of the public bulletin board. By analysing community connections through public paper-based bulletin boards and online bulletin boards
This artifact covers a range of different sized screens.
Through these interconnected public bulletin boards—both on public screens and personal devices—students will have a platform to announce, share, and spread information. Given the project's emphasis on community, special attention will be paid to the user experience, making User-centred Design the ideal approach for addressing these issues. This initiative aims to strengthen the AUT community and attract future students by showcasing a vibrant, connected culture.
