Tethys_27 is my short film about one of multiple Mars Rovers searching for a water deposit to build a future human settlement in proximity to. The Rover design is heavily inspired by the current Curiosity Rover. The aim with the Rover itself was to add a more personified look while keeping with the design features used by the current Rover.

I wanted to create an isolated feeling in the environment with the landscape and sound design to help add to this feeling. I used a combination of Maya, Houdini, Gaea, Substance Painter, Redshift and Davinci Resolve while creating the short film.

This last year has been incredibly challenging, but I’ve learned a lot about VFX, Design and myself through this process and looking forward to learning more in the future. Grateful to have had an amazing group of classmates and lecturers over the course as well.
