Accessible and Refillable Makeup Packaging Alternatives for Individuals with Dexterity and Motor Disabilities

Dexterity issues are the term used to describe difficulties many people face with fine motor skills and grip strength in the hands and fingers. A lack of dexterity challenges one’s ability to complete tasks that require force, precise movements, and grip strength, such as utilising tools and opening closures.

This is commonly experienced by those with Parkinson’s disease, amputation, arthritis, and bone density weakness. Frustration with tasks often leads to shame, a decrease in independence, and sometimes complete avoidance of certain products.

Bare Beauty packaging allows users to engage with cosmetics of their choice in cosmetic packaging that is specifically designed to aid grip and use without compromising independence.
