What life lies within the gutters of the world.
We walk through life witnessing flashes of moments through frames, leaving us to imagine what life lies within the gutters. The store follows the concept ‘Between The Walls’ which explores the movement of life, that we do not necessarily see but knows is happening out of frame. It does not mean life does not continue it just means to see it we perhaps need a change of perspective. Using the setting of the corner shop on Nuffield St Newmarket, Auckland New Zealand, I have transformed this space into a spatial narrative that exposes more of the story as you move from the exterior to interior. My concept explores how I can manipulate the walls to create these different frames while also exploring what life and experiences are happening within these walls.
