My project, Blossom explored how stylised 3D environments and interactive mechanics can be used to immerse players in a fantasy world through exploration and storytelling. This is aimed towards players interested in cozy exploration indie games set in a fantasy world. I developed a fantasy world where players collect blossom shards, find cute plushies and unravel a story about memory and remembering the past. The main idea driving my design was my interest in cherry blossoms and cute aesthetics.
I utilised Maya for modelling, Substance Painter for texturing, Marmoset Toolbag for showcasing assets, and Unity for gameplay and lighting design. I also composed the background soundtracks as you play the game. Through this, I aimed to create a whimsical world that feels dream-like yet cute. My project invites players to slow down, explore, and question what feels real vs imagined within a digital space.
