IronDrive

IronDrive is a city builder/survival game where you need to power the main base and train throughout the winter in order to keep the city alive and keep the train in working order. The player has to expand their territory to gather more resources so as to not run out of the limited resources the city has such as Energy and Mass. To win the player must dedicate some resources towards maintaining the train and fueling it as well as enough resources to keep the city alive so that the people may escape the colder lands.

In this solo project, I explored the question  “How can the level design from a real-time strategy game encourage players to interface with new or different game mechanics and improve replayability?"  This research question helped me to design my game level.

It was an absolute thrill to work on my capstone project this year and I have come out  of it with new skills to show for it.
