School uniforms serve as instruments of discipline and conformity, suppressing individuality. Confiscated Propertydeconstructs these ideologies through a satirical lens, celebrating the rebellious spirit of schoolyard protest. Dismantling traditional uniform codes and merging them with rugby attire, it parodies the absurdity of conformity, juxtaposing celebrated team discipline with enforced classroom obedience to expose institutional control.

The project explores how garments that enforce conformity can be reinterpreted to express individuality and resistance within a contemporary fashion context. It investigates the cultural and social narratives embedded in uniforms, questioning authority through the aesthetics of structure, imperfection, and disruption. Screen printing operates as a key textile method to exaggerate uniform motifs and reinforce the dialogue between control and rebellion. This process integrates experimental practices and digital fabrication, allowing surface design to become an active site of conceptual expression.

The resulting garments merge historical and cultural references with experimental craftsmanship to critique authority, conformity, and colonial influence. Confiscated Property positions fashion as a form of protest, communicating humour, resistance, and reflection through materiality and form and contributes to broader conversations around fashion as a critical, socially engaged, and culturally responsive practice.
