Echo is a collaborative, interpretive VFX short film where colour carries the meaning. Aster, a masked figure, passes through a mirror into a magical forest of spirit creatures, where they must face the forest’s darkness and find their way safely back to the real world. Motion capture, simulations and stylised filters are just a few of the elements that brought Echo to life. My work on the simulations, the Unreal Engine 5 camera work and the colour direction shaped how the film engages its viewers.
