Forgotten

Bachelor of Design Environmental Storytelling Puzzle Game Serious Game Experimental Realism Narrative

My project Forgotten explores how a compelling story can be told using only environmental storytelling and small details, without relying on a directly told narrative as seen in many modern day games. Forgotten gets a majority of its inspiration from older titles such as Silent Hill and Resident Evil, Both of which contain tank controls and distinct aesthetics that influenced the visual side of my game.

To develop Forgotten, I used various software including Maya for creating 3D assets, Substance Painter for texturing, and Unity to assemble the final product. My aim for this project was to enhance my 3D modeling skills and gain a better understanding of how developers use game environments to communicate the games story and evoke emotion.
