Glimpse In Time explores humanity's trace and absence within artificial and real spaces, investigating the idea of a "post-human predicament" where human existence extends beyond traditional boundaries. Drawing from dystopian themes in science fiction and my own urban environment, I visualize future worlds defined by human activity, using muted colors, stark shapes, and intense lighting to convey dystopian environments. Oil paint manipulation, particularly through scraping, allows me to create gritty textures that suggest oppressive super-structures and survival within hostile conditions. This technique both applies and removes paint, revealing essential marks that enhance the sense of a harsh, controlled world. I explore contrasting narratives, introducing utopian sanctuaries amidst dystopian landscapes to evoke spaces of reprieve within chaos. By translating digital ideas into painting, I investigate the tension between scientific exploration and human limitation, creating semi-abstract, interactive narratives that invite viewers to engage with the speculative evolution of human spaces.
