A visual development project.
‘Heat of the Moment’ is a visual development project originating from the split of my Capstone group, that reimagines our idea for 3D animated short as a rendered animatic. The story follows Kiki, a young woman who confesses a crime to her coworker, Matt, through a dramatic musical number. My research aim for this project was to investigate how I could use expressionistic and musical theatre aesthetics in lighting and compositing to enhance visual storytelling. My project reinterprets my group's original premise with my own artistic voice, bridging my animation practice with transferable skills in visual communication and design.
