Asexuality is often underrepresented and discriminated against both in mainstream society and the LGBTQIA+ community due to a lack of understanding and awareness. This lack of awareness and understanding can impact the overall wellbeing of people on the asexual spectrum in multiple areas of life.
Created from my own experience of asexuality as well as others who are part of this small yet numerous community, I Am Not An Amoeba aims to produce a resource that confronts acephobia while helping people understand the sexuality more deeply in a digestible way, making information accessible and engaging while including the voice of the asexual community throughout.
