This practice-led research project dives into the concept of dyslexia, what dyslexia is on the surface but also the underlying struggle. What dyslexics may face, how it can affect them, demonstrating and explaining what dyslexia and its struggles through the lens of a personal perspective of life experience with this condition. Using body-copy to not only tell a story of the struggles but to demonstrate the difficulties and hardship of a dyslexic mind, what is overcome. With the aim of seeing how expressive design can demonstrate a person’s own experience of dyslexia and its lesser known struggles through broad topics like reading and writing to help a neurotypical audience understand the condition through bodycopy, typography and interactive mixed media publications.
