The proposed project is a comic/manga book store located in the heart of Newmarket, on a corner site of Nuffield Street. A busy place where it’s in a constant state of transformation, where people are always in motion experiencing different moments and interactions. “Interim” refers to a temporary phase between stages, emphasizing the concept phase of creating comics and manga’s. Exploring semi transparency to evoke the sense of depth of being within layers of a story. Creating a visual transition of the work in progress stage to the final polished manga’s displayed on the shelves. Presenting an immersive and engaging environment where customers feel as if they’re inside the pages of a manga, observing and participating in its creation process. Each would witness unique stories through the walls as everyone within are temporary and ever so changing, just like the interim stage of the creation process.
