Linking Gen Z With Groups and Activities for Better Wellbeing

Studies show that Gen Z have the highest ever generational rates of psychological distress and loneliness. While there are some campaigns focusing on mindset, there is inadequate material with practical information to help Gen Z. This project explores how visual communication can encourage Gen Z to participate in different activities to help with their rising rates of stress and loneliness, through a branded pack and social media. Situated in the broader area of mental health and wellbeing, the design incorporates shapes that relate to the Five Areas of Wellbeing, and balances how Gen Z is a very digital generation that spends less time interacting face to face through both digital and physical outputs. This project contributes to society by providing a way for Gen Z to improve their wellbeing, and encourages conversations around design impact and wellbeing.
