Future me showed up… So yeah. It’s that bad.

Love is War follows the story of an optimistic young adult that is obsessed with her previous lover and experiencing the stages of grief.  This creates a butterfly effect that opens a portal to the future, and she witnesses the consequences of her actions between ex-lovers. The main theme for my 2D animation was moving on, coming from experience in my personal life and making it into a fun animation to look back on.

For this individual project, I wanted to answer my research question, “How can I use smear frames and camera angles to create a 2D animation with an impactful, fast-moving fight scene between a conflicting and dynamic relationship?”
