"Lover's Cell" is a 2.5D escape room game that requires players to explore the environment and talk to fellow prisoners in order to find clues. Players will uncover the dark story within this prison, and will need to find a way to get out before something terrible happens to them.
This project explored the theme of control, while also making use of humour which created for a silly and overall casual gameplay experience. Collaborating with Nadine Carillo, I wanted to make a narrative based game that has a darker side to it which might be covered up by an unserious and lighthearted exterior. My focus was character designing and 2D animating to explore how I could create an immersive and captivating in game world.
