Memorabilia is a stop-motion animated short film that uses hand-crafted sets, puppets, and props to tell a human-focused story on grief and healing.
The story follows a military veteran with an emotionally charged fixation on a pair of military dog tags as he navigates his way through a post-apocalyptic landscape. As he continues choosing his emotions even over his potential survival, he is soon forced to confront his actions when things get too close for comfort.
My decision to pursue a traditional stop-motion animation style was a deliberate creative statement, serving as a quiet form of resistance against the increasing prevalence and overuse of generative AI in contemporary creative practices.
