The Museum of Phitan project is within the realms of metafiction and museological display systems. Handmade clay, embroidery, and copper wire artefacts are installed within the tropes of a museum. Serving as evidence of a fictional nation, "Phitan” being the origins of the Philippines, Italy and Japan. By presenting these artefacts and crafting a rich narrative, the artist aims to invite viewers to engage with the narrative of this fictional nation, piecing together its story through the objects ‘left behind’ further blurring the line between reality and fiction.
