Feminism in full colour

My work responds to the recent resurgence of hyper-feminine fashion trends by exploring structured, traditionally "masculine" garments. This collection draws inspiration from the second-wave feminist movement of the late '60s to early '80s when women asserted control over their image by adopting menswear staples such as wide-leg pants, jeans, and blazers. I aimed to balance the gravity of this theme with a playful edge, using vibrant colours and floral patterns to introduce an element of quirkiness. Tailored garments are softened with accompanying knitwear thereby depicting a fluid and evolving landscape where conventional ideas of masculinity and femininity blend and blur.
