Bachelor of Design High end fashion Leather work Made to last Femininity

My collection focuses on the corrosive and suffocating nature of chasing conventional beauty. The layers have a juxtaposition of soft and draped with structured and stiff. I used conventional tailoring techniques and silhouettes, merging them with unconventional vertical patterns and design lines to create elongation further. The palette of my collection is monochromatic black with an emphasis on textures. Textiles include pebbled leather, pilled wool suiting, and waxed canvas on the structured side and the contrasting draped garments will be made from a deteriorating woven stretch material. My inspirations going into this collection span various mediums, all of which embody a form of restrictiveness and corrosion, whether intentional or not.
