Excellence in User Experience

“NaviGo”, creating a beginner friendly shared e-scooter system.

“NaviGo” is a shared e-scooter company that focuses on helping beginners start their first e-scooter journey, and convincing them to become frequent users in the future. Despite the growth in micro-mobility, shared e-scooters are still underutilised within the transportation system of Auckland. To address this, my project aims to improve the first-time user experience of shared scooters by exclusive features on the App. This innovation is designed to make the initial scooter-sharing experience more user-friendly, particularly for beginners. The main feature of the project is a speedometer and reminder screen accessible on the app. Since I have different features compared with existing shared e-scooter, I needed to create my own e-scooter using 3D modelling software. It was an interesting experience that I tried new techniques, although it’s been a difficult task for me to learn, the experience helped me develop my design skill and ability to learn fast. Shared mobility services play a pivotal role in public transportation, offering the potential to engage the community and promote a shift away from private vehicle ownership.
