Creativity develops through the people, environments, objects, and experiences that shape us. Objects For Creativity investigates how analogue craft tools and materials can document creative inheritance through process-led publication design. Focusing on three generations of women within one family, it traces creativity through inherited tools, materials, and making practices. Guided by practice-led research, the project documents inherited objects as artefacts and reactivates them through contemporary creative experimentation. Each object is documented and then used in material explorations, showing how knowledge emerges through making. The resulting publication presents forty documented objects alongside twenty making outcomes. Together, these reveal how creative knowledge is carried across generations through the continued use of objects, materials, and practices. The project reflects on inherited influence and creates a tangible record of a family’s creative legacy.
