A Typographic Exploration of the Feelings Experienced in the Design Process

Process Type is a project that explores the important connection between the design process and the feelings that come with it along the way. It does so through a typography based approach that focuses on 6 different font weights, with each being representative of a feeling experienced in the process. Their forms drive the visuals of the outcomes, which are a concertina publication, scannable posters and web experience, that together make for an interactive transmedia experience that encourages engagement and exploration. This project aims to improve the understanding of the more human side of the design process and the important value of feelings within it, by highlighting them in a visual manner that can be clearly interpreted and understood.
