My project explored clothing as a transitional space shaped by environmental pressure, expressing the balance between delicacy and disruption. The brief was to design a collection that communicated emotional and physical responsiveness through form and fabric. I focused on the relationship between body, movement, and material, using flowing silhouettes and bias-cut techniques to create garments that move naturally and convey transformation.
The main idea driving my design was to express shifting identity and emotional resilience through clothing. Draping and bias-cutting were key techniques, allowing designs to emerge organically through interaction with the body. I used silk georgette for its fluidity and lightness, enhancing movement and sensitivity to gesture.
This project is important because it translates internal experiences into tangible forms, showing how fashion can embody resilience, adaptability, and care. It contributes to conversations about expressive, sustainable design that connects personal storytelling with responsible practice.
