Echoes of Queerness Across Aotearoa
Sapphics Uncensored is a magazine dedicated to uncovering and celebrating overlooked lesbian histories in Aotearoa. Its purpose is to bring these stories into the light, offering young queer kiwis a sense of connection, representation, and possibility that is accessible. By exploring figures like Amy Bock (whose life has been sensationalized, misunderstood, and often censored) this magazine aims to challenge the silences that have shaped queer experience, and to encourage authenticity rather than self-censorship. Sapphics Uncensored also aims to build community connection by advertising queer events, artist and local spaces.
