Fashion as a language of integration

Second Skin was aimed to provide a resolution for those who experience identity loss and societal disconnection.  The project revolves around three main lookbooks, built and intertwined through fashion. The models were chosen from my own friend group to understand the emotional connection between fashion and society fully. The subculture looked into is one that isn't noticeable to the general eye; however, for those in it is a platform to regain societal connection. A mixture of formal fashion photography and graphic experimentation was used to display the mood of the friend group through the abstract aspects, along with the fashion expression. The three volumes feature as an example of how a passion or interest can lead to societal reconnection and finding your group of people within a wider society.
