Myopia Awareness

Myopia or short-sightedness is an eye condition and growing epidemic causing objects and detailed information in the distance to become blurry, often affecting students and working professionals in the creative sector. Due to the condition being highly under researched, many people such as myself are unaware that they have it, thus this project aims to spread awareness, spark interest and create a community in a fun way that appeals to youth who have myopia. To achieve this, a brand guideline book has been designed, which details the brand strategy and visual identity of the campaign, alongside complementary branded collateral such as a poster series an myopia care kit with a tote bag and stickers, an eye chart poster, and a guide. A CMYK colour palette has also been used to visually capture how printers translate colours from the screen to print, similarly to how our eyes interpret images through light, and a halftone motif has been applied to simulate the blurring effect of Myopia.
