Silk & Sand

Silk & Sand explores the connection between craft, culture, and fashion, taking inspiration from the Silk Road and the travellers like Marco Polo. My work explores the art of corsetry, focusing on developing and refining my craftsmanship while mastering structure and exploring softness and form. Inspired by the free-spirited nature of those who once journeyed across the Silk Road, I used handcrafts such as hand painting, beading, and draping to create layered, textural garments that balance structure and softness. Rooted in slow fashion and couture practice, this collection celebrates the artistry of making and the value of thoughtful, handcrafted design.
