How do you raise a kid with a missing hand?

I was born with amniotic band syndrome which means I am missing the lower half of my left arm. Growing up disabled meant that my experiences were wildly different and I had to overcome more challenges than my able-bodied peers. My able-bodied parents found it difficult to raise me due to the lack of resources on upper limb differences available in New Zealand, and often could not understand what I was going through. Single Handed follows a conversation I had with my parents on our experiences with disability to provide information to parents with children like me and raise awareness on what it's really like to be disabled in New Zealand.
