A ring and accompanying app for epilepsy sufferers, to identify imminent seizures, ensuring the user’s safety at all times.

Soteria is a ring-device for users with epilepsy, aimed to detect irregularities through monitoring vitals. It actively warns the user in order to avoid potential seizures or triggers. The Soteria ring has an accelerometer, gyroscope, spO2, and temperature sensors. It has functions such as checking your vitals (by raising your finger), fall detection, sending an SMS notification to emergency contacts or bystanders. It also tells the time. In addition to the sensors and electronics, the ring is composed of two materials: zirconia ceramic on the outside and stainless steel on the inside. The Soteria app adds to the product experience by giving biofeedback based on the patient's monitored vitals. The Soteria ring and app are user-friendly, efficient, accessible and affordable; with a simple and modern UI design, the app easily communicates crucial information and provides a flexible and on-the-go service to epilepsy patients, improving their all-round user experience.
