"Grief is just love with no place to go."

The Withering Glow is part of a narrative 3D animation film that explores the themes of grief and loss. The story follows Nerina, a woman with the power to conjure water, as she nurtures a flower that has grown inside a cave where she lost her mother as a child. The only thing left of her mother is the cloak she was wearing at the time, which has now accompanied Nerina throughout the seasons as she returns to the cave every night to conserve the flower.

My focus lies on the character's body animation and cloth simulation in narrative-specific contexts, as well as exploring various surroundings and weather conditions. The challenge is to explore how realistic clothing and body movement behave while walking through a windy forest, being drenched in a rainstorm, and becoming submerged underwater.
