Using infographics to explore the issue of electronic waste

This practice-led, artistic research considers the potential of infographics as a means to educate the audience about electronic waste. In this study, the practical outcome is a designed campaign called Tronicwaste that explores the concept of electronic waste and the importance of recycling waste. I will explain the topic's significance in Aotearoa as the country currently lacks any national policy on e-waste (Forti et al., 2020) and show how awareness can lead to significant change (Borawska, 2017). The project was led using heuristic methods such as such as experimentation, self-reflection and external feedback. The purpose of the project is to increase awareness about sustainability through a learning kit that teaches the audience about the recycling process of electronic waste.
